Job Description

• Collaborate with other dispatchers and planning teams

• Resolve driver-related issues and provide operational support

• Record all relevant data related to driver and vehicle departures and arrivals for administrative processing, in coordination with driver coordinators

• Analyze completed journeys and identify areas for improvement

• Monitor scheduled journeys in terms of punctuality, feasibility, and drivers’ working hours

• Monitor driver data in relation to legal driving and rest periods

• Advise various planning departments regarding driver availability

• Motivate drivers to take responsibility for their tasks and duties

• Support the team in maintaining efficient operations during busy periods

To support our growing operations, we are looking for an experienced Interim Dispatcher to join Farm Trans as soon as possible.

As an Interim Dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for our drivers. Together with the planning department, you will ensure that drivers and vehicles are used as efficiently as possible. Through clear and effective communication with drivers, you will contribute to their motivation, performance, and overall well-being.

You will work in a small, collaborative team where the ability to organize and prioritize operations under pressure is essential, particularly during peak hours. You will also collaborate closely with the driver coordinator and HR department to manage and resolve driver-related matters.

Because you understand the challenges of the driver’s profession, you are able to balance the practical needs of drivers with the operational and economic requirements of the planning department, our customers, and Farm Trans. The key to success in this role is finding the right balance between these different interests.

What do we expect from you?

• Several years of experience as a dispatcher, preferably within transport or logistics

• Strong affinity with the logistics and transport industry

• Proven ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Team-oriented and flexible attitude

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility

• Availability to start the interim assignment at short notice
